Do you know what time it is? Yep, it’s DIY time!

We know summer is over. But for those of us who long for beaches and warm, tropical weather, our feet will continue itching for vitamin Sea and the hot, sizzling sun. If you’re ready to head on out and dip your feet in salt-y water, be sure you have all your essentials with you.

My mother taught me lots of things, and to always wear sunscreen is one of the lessons/tips I will always thank her for. It is very important to always wear sunscreen.

Here are some of the reasons why we should always wear sunscreen:

  1. Protection from the Sun! No matter what complexion or age or skin type you have, you still need protection from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun, especially now that our ozone layer is depleting.
  2. Everyone is at risk when we are talking about cancer because we all have cancer cells in our body. Yes, that is true. But if we can prevent it by wearing protection called sunscreen, why not use it every day to prevent damage that could cause cancer, right?
  3. Save your skin from obvious damage like wrinkles, facial brown spots and discolorations and appearance of red veins and blotchiness by wearing sunscreen. These obvious, visible damages are caused by the hours we spend in the sun without protection.

These should be all the reasons you need to always pack your sunscreen with you and always apply some on your skin.

Make Your Own!

Sunscreen in stores can be really expensive. It contains lots of chemicals that might harm your body.

Luckily, Coco Trends found a really cool and easy-to-make sunscreen recipe. The recipe uses extra virgin coconut oil. We all know just how amazing this superfood is. Aside from the health benefits we can get, it has many other uses too.  Coconut oil has an spf of 10. this means 90% of beneficial vitamin D creating UBV rays are blocked. Pure coconut oil also strengthens the skin, makes it more resilient and less prone to sunburn.
